Partnerships
Creating healthier communities needs a ‘whole of society’ approach. To do this BCHC intentionally works with communities to build collaboration and partnerships at various levels: inter-departmental or inter-organizational (partnerships within an organization or unit), multi-sectoral (partnerships across multiple sectors) and vertical (partnerships extending multiple levels from local, regional and national).
Critical to the success of any healthy communities initiative is a shared or common purpose. BCHC works with groups using the Integral Capacity Building Framework to ensure that a wide range of voices are at the table – providing space for the best of what everyone brings and for leveraging the talents and assets available for maximizing opportunities for making a lasting difference.
