Jodi Mucha, Director Jodi brings a broad range of expertise to the position including a Masters in Environment and Management , years of experience working overseas on sustainable development projects in West Africa, New Zealand and Egypt and a passion for healthy active lifestyles. Her Masters thesis focused on the connections between spirituality and sustainable development and ways to mobilize them. She has a strong background in public policy research and worked for several years developing the e-dialogues for Sustainable Development with Dr. Ann Dale of Royal Roads University. Additionally, Jodi is an accomplished Triathlete, personal trainer and leadership coach. |

Katie Shaw, Provincial Youth Engagement Facilitator Katie Shaw is a highly respected youth project manager, front line worker, social justice advocate, researcher and facilitator. For nearly a decade she has worked in a variety of community-based NGOs focusing on youth engagement, capacity-building and collaborative community development. She is the Provincial Youth Engagement Facilitator for BC Healthy Communities and has worked on community, provincial and national youth engagement initiatives. Katie believes in the power of collaboration and for people from all backgrounds to be resilient leaders for social change. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Victoria and is currently completing a M.A. in Community Leadership and Adult Education. An active community leader, Katie serves on the board of the Women's Sexual Assault Centre and was the recipient of Leadership Victoria's VanCity Youth Award in 2010. Phone: |

Stacy Barter, BCHC Associate, Facilitator Stacy is an organizational, leadership and sustainable community development consultant who has worked for over 15 years with a wide range communities, non-profit, and public sector organizations in Canada and Latin America. She has led a number of innovative development and training initiatives, and has helped to build the capacity and resilience of numerous organizations and communities. She is a dynamic and engaging facilitator who brings a wealth of experience designing and facilitating learning programs, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and positive change processes.Stacy is the co-creator and lead facilitator of Leading Communities BC, a successful community leadership program designed to build the leadership capacity of rural Canadian communities. She is also the co-founder of Earth Matters, a non-profit organization that builds leadership capacities of young adults through involvement in sustainable community development projects. Most recently, her work with BC Healthy Communities includes a focus on public engagement around climate change, community learning, and community dialogue processes. Stacy holds a M. Sarah Amyot, Youth Engagement Projects Coordinator
Sarah Amyot oversees our YouthCore and City of Victoria Youth Council programs as well as the Youth Service Provider Network (YSPN). In addition she coordinates a range of other youth engagement initiatives . Sarah is a dedicated community and social advocate and has worked with the student and women's movement for a number of years. Sarah is passionate about, and committed to finding, community-based solutions to addressing social inequities. Sarah is currently completing her M.A. in Studies in Policy and Practice in at the University of Victoria. Phone:
